SysComm doesn’t just bring projects in on time and within budget, but, in travelling the road with our client, we build capacity and knowledge in our client’s organisation and add value to their business.

Our Company

SysComm is an Irish headquartered and internationally capable cGMP Consultancy and Projects Implementation firm, focused on assisting our clients through their change event effectively and efficiently; with the ultimate end goal of delivering a compliant & audit ready facility.

We understand the commitments required of our clients to undertake a regulated change event or project. Therefore, our service is tailored to assist you in understanding, developing and delivering upon your key objectives; those which are essential to delivering Process Stability, Product Quality & Sustainable Cost.

We equally understand that a spectrum of capabilities are necessary to manage change, and that the distribution of these available in-house vary from customer to customer, therefore our service delivery is again tailored to provide support to the degree that is required, and no more.

Our History

SysComm was founded in 2007 by two of the most widely respected and acknowledged leaders in the GxP C&Q field, Alan Barry and Sundar Chellamani, with over 35 years combined professional experience within the Life-Sciences sector.

Founded at a time when the global economy was still in recovery, Alan and Sundar had enough confidence in their own vision to take the leap into SysComm.

Since then SysComm has developed an impressive portfolio of clients across several geographies and sectors within the Life-Science industry.

Alan Barry

Chief Executive Officer

Alan has a Sterile Manufacturing, OSD, CSV, QMS background, and a wealth of experience in leading project delivery & supporting manufacturing start-ups since the late 90’s.

Alan supports SysComm’s activities through providing direct consulting & project establishment guidance to our projects, and can directly lead strategically critical activities, where requested.

He holds a BEng (Hons) in Process Engineering & Clean Technology and has over twenty years of professional experience within the Life Sciences sector.

Sundar Chellamani

Chief Technical Officer

Sundar is responsible for driving technical excellence within SysComm.

He has over twenty years’ experience internationally in C&Q Project Management of Clean Utilities, both API and Aseptic processing systems & VPE Equipment and Computerised Systems.

He has a precise understanding of regulatory requirements in relation to the Life Sciences industries, operating projects within FDA and HPRA (IMB) audit environments, with a keen knowledge of cGMP, GEP, ICH and ASTM-E2500 requirements.

Sundar holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and MEng in Thermal Engineering with experience on three continents.

Shane Horan

Chief Operations Officer

Shane’s remit includes Programme Management, Project and Change Management.

He has over fifteen years’ experience in managing the CQV aspects of several multi-million euro capital projects in Ireland and across Europe.

These include the transfer, installation and qualification of packaging lines, to the on-site management of the commissioning and qualification of Black & Clean Utilities, CIP and Production Support Equipment.

He holds a BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering from the University of Limerick and an MBA (Hons) from UCD Michael Smurfit.

Frank McKeown

Operational Systems Manager

Frank is responsible for the SysComm Quality Management System maintenance and continuous development.

He also ensures the projection of SysComm quality procedures and “Ways of Working” into On-Site projects.

He has twenty-seven years’ experience in the Life Sciences, Semi-Conductor and Synthetic Diamond industries, leading high performance teams.

Frank holds a B.Tech (Mech. Eng.) from the University of Ulster, a Diploma in Accounting & Finance (ACCA) and is a time-served Toolmaker.

Thomas Burns

CQV Project Engineer

Thomas is a CQV engineer with several years’ experience in the commissioning and qualification of clean water generation and distribution systems, and other clean and black utilities.

He is also a key team member in multiple CQV and CSV Life Science projects.

Thomas holds a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering with additional qualifications in Project Management, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and eValidation.

Kripa Muthu

CQV Project Engineer

Kripa is an Electronic Engineer with over 20 years’ experience in Installation, Commissioning and Operation of HVAC, Boiler Systems, Medical Devices and Medical Gas Systems and Building Management System (BMS) modules.

He has excellent hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, civil, plumbing and general maintenance activities.

Faran Khalid

CQV Engineer

Faran has a BEng. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and has experience in document generation, commissioning and qualification of black utilities.

Matthew Collison

CQV Project Engineer

A qualified heating engineer with ten years’ experience in design, installation and optimization of thermal transfer systems.

Experience in the management and technical aspects of electronic design and manufacture.

Matthew holds a Level 8 Certificate in Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Manufacturing, and a diploma in Electronics Engineering.

Vincent Stockman

Senior CQV Lead

Vincent Stockman, an industry recognised expert in the validation and commissioning of Biotech facilities.

His extensive experience across multiple technologies and industries, from client side to vendor, gives Vincent a unique insight into the requirements and restraints that regulatory bodies place on our customer.

His practical guidance and excellence in the application of guidelines allows him to bring his experience to bear for Projects and departmental initiatives alike.

Anna Leidig

Junior CQV Engineer

Anna‘s background is as a Production Operations Technician and a junior CQV Engineer working within the Pharmaceutical Industries since 2014.

She has gained knowledge and experience through Controlled Temperature Unit/Area Qualification, Shipping Qualification, Cleaning Validation, Manual Inspection and CQV Documentation writing.

Anna has a proven track record in actively working within validation and operations teams, problem solving, self-learning and quality decision making.
